What this checks

For a plant or sustainability manager who can quote the total energy bill but cannot break it down by product, line or shift — and needs to know what metering would actually close that gap before committing to it.

What we do

  • Review your high-level energy bill (as a range, not an exact confidential figure), operating hours and tariff structure.
  • Identify your major consumers — compressed air, HVAC, specific machine classes — from what you already know.
  • Assess what existing meters or sub-meters you have, and what they actually cover versus what is inferred.
  • Recommend a measurement plan: which points to meter first, in what order, to close the biggest blind spots fastest.

What we need from you

  • A high-level energy bill range and operating hours — use ranges where possible; exact confidential figures are never required.
  • A rough list of major consumers as you understand them today (compressed air, ovens, specific machine types).
  • Any existing meters or sub-meters, and what level they measure at (whole plant, line, or machine).
  • Your production volume for the same period, so cost-per-unit becomes possible to estimate.

What you get back

  • A measurement plan: which points to meter, and in what sequence.
  • The likely blind spots in your current picture — the places most plants with a similar setup are wrong about where cost concentrates.
  • A recommended meter scope sized to what you actually need to answer the question, not a maximal build-out.
  • The KPIs worth validating once metering is live — cost per unit, cost per shift, standby consumption versus running consumption.

What this does not claim

This scan does not produce a savings estimate — it produces a measurement plan. Any specific savings number requires live metering data first, which is exactly what the Energy Management or IIoT & Energy Metering PoC exists to establish.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to share our exact energy bill?

No — a range is enough for this scan. Precise confidential figures are only needed later, in the written PoC proposal, not through the public site.

We already have some meters. Is this still useful?

Often, yes — the most common finding is that existing meters cover the whole plant or one utility type but not the machine or product level that would actually explain the cost, which is exactly what this scan is built to surface.

What is the difference between this and the Energy Management PoC?

This scan is a desk review of what you already know; the PoC installs and validates the actual metering on your equipment and measures real consumption against production output.
